New York Cosmos

In the Fall of 2010, Theresa Tran joined the leadership team of the New York Cosmos, and helped orchestrate a comeback of the legendary soccer team that Pelé made famous back in the 70’s. Her work centered around public relations, athlete marketing and partnership activations.

In the first 12 months of its relaunch, Pelé joined the organization as Honorary President, followed by Eric Cantona and Cobi Jones as Director and Associate Director of Soccer – which received positive and impactful media coverage all over the world, generating 1.6 billion media impressions before the team even played its first match. The New York Cosmos eventually rejoined the North American Soccer League (NASL) in 2013 and since then added three more Soccer Bowl championships to its storied history.
