LeBron James Returns to His Roots in New Sprite Ad

Last month, LeBron James and street artist Futura joined Sprite in LeBron’s hometown of Akron, Ohio, to surprise the local community by unveiling two refurbished outdoor basketball courts at Patterson Park. On Thursday, Oct. 30, Sprite will release a new TV spot capturing the emotional homecoming.

The courts had not been touched in more than 25 years. The refurbishment included resurfacing the courts, installing new benches, basketball hoops and art by Futura. Little did the community know that the event was part of a digital video production titled "The First Home Game." The video features LeBron interacting with the people in his hometown and sharing his inspiration for returning to Cleveland.
